Tomorrow is Mother's Day, so in honor of Mom's everywhere, here's some more of my "creative talent, on loan from Gawd..."
Soft pats on my shoulder still,
Warm memories of bandaids and hugs,
Mother.
Avon perfume on a floral print dress,
Soft sugar cookies and the coldest milk,
Grandmother.
For those of you that have thrown up on the keyboard, contact Mr. Tony Tampasis at www.tampasis.com He will then flame me for referring you, and then you'll have to order a new keyboard online anyway.
And now for the political haiku of the week:
Tolerating his brothers' shadow with yet another drink,
Past transgressions press him on to try to make a mark,
Ted Kennedy.
Happy Mother's Day, Rose, wherever you are!
