Do Leftists Truly Call The Shots In The DNC?

As a listener of talk radio, watcher of various news programs, and reader of newspapers, I keep hearing more and more about the infighting within the Democratic Party.

Specifically, the infighting seems to be centered around CONTROL of the party.

Here's an example: A Newsmax story that outlines what movie producer Michael Moore has to say to Democrats.

What do you all think? Do the anti-Bush, anti-war, extreme-left leaning members of the Democratic party truly control it, or is this just simply an attempt at a power grab? I really don't think that the local dems would indentify with the Soros-types, unless of course that it's anti-Bush. The gun-toting dems around here (I would hope) would be FOR national security and the war on terror, not against it.
