The "Peace" in Lebanon

Anyone want to make a prediction on when war breaks out in Lebanon again?

According to a story by AP, it seems that, again, the UN shows themselves emasculated, basically allowing Hezbollah to keep their weapons.

I predict within 1 year there will be more war, and it will be obvious that Hezbollah is the aggressor AGAIN.

According to the article:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060927/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_not_disarming_hezbollah

Gen. Alain Pelligrini, the French officer who commands the U.N. force, said the peacekeepers wouldn't even act if they saw weapons being carried openly by Hezbollah fighters.

"No, I would ask the Lebanese army to intervene and if the Lebanese army has difficulties in intervening, then we would see what we need to do," he said last week.

I wonder how long this communication interface of U.N. and Lebanese army will take. And how long do you think it will take for the French General to decide "what we need to do?"
Would the rocket carrying Hezbo walking toward Israel that "gets their attention" be walking back from the border to reload and rearm again before "what we needed to do" was decided?
The U.N. force seems to be an observatory mission only. It doesn't seem likely that it will have any real effect on the situation at hand.

Why don't you head on over and help them out?

Why don't you?

It's a phantom mission, meaningless. You can only make peace with an enemy after defeating him, or being defeated.
