Now What Are You Going To Do With It?

BUT DO THESE?!?!

In a stunning twist, the DNC has taken over Congress; by about the same slim margin the GOP had before the election, but a majority nonetheless.

As I heard from a friend yesterday, "The democrats taking over Congress is like a dog continuously chasing cars until finally one day he catches one. One would ask, 'Now what are you going to do with it?'"

I agree. I haven't seen much except Bush-bashing from the Dems for six years. The only ideas that seem to come from the Dems are what are put out by leftists like George Soros and MoveOn.org (you know them, the ones that claimed to own the Democratic Party?.

Mainstream conservative America will not like those kind of ideas. Will the DNC step up to the plate, shed itself of Soros et al, and become the "People's Party" once again? I have serious doubts.

Obama said something yesterday akin to my sentiments, that the Democrats must perform well now that they've won a majority. I agree with MCR, we need to start praying these people live up to their responsibility. If they don't, God Help Us All.

What will they do now? I am sure they don't have a clue. Most likely, just stand there and bark. Maybe just bite at the tires by demanding that Bush must go; impeach, impeach, impeach!

Matt:

That's a good list of YOUR ideas (or perhaps those accumulated from MoveOn.org.) However, the messages from the DNC have ONLY been Bush bash since day 1.

Your assumption that Republicans are worthless is baseless. Look at the record.

People voted for Dems this time around because they don't like war. Look back at history: every president in office during war time saw a big shift from his party to the opposite during their tenure. In other words, this is NOT an uncommon occurrence. In two years when the Dems do nothing but raise taxes, cut and run in Iraq, raise the minimun wage and run small businesses out of business, and try to impeach the president for doing his job, then America will be singing a different tune.

This is going to be a tough two years for everybody. I don't think the Dems are up to the job AT ALL.

For those of you reading this that haven't already broken the DNC code, what they mean by "congressional oversight" means "Start impeachment procedings now! And let's raise taxes while were at it."

What we witnessed on Tuesday was NOT Liberals "winning." It was that some Republicans that were NOT conservative, lost to Dems that were much more conservative than the average Libs.

This isn't the mandate you think it is, or why did the Dems run the most conservative candidates they could find? (or former Republicans in many cases, like Webb in VA) If the whole election was about the war, as many in the MSM would have you believe, how did Independent, pro-Iraqi victory, anti cut and run Joe Leiberman defeat the Liberal supported antiwar Democrat in CT? The voters rejected the Liberal Lamont, and chose common sense. (Not that Joe isn't a Dem, he just isn't a completely loony lib) The Dems proved in this election something that I have always felt but I didn't think the Dems had it in them. Conservatism wins whenever and wherever it is tried.

I just checked the DNC website.

They still don't have any ideas.

I'll keep you posted

You should be ashamed of this story. Are you working for Al Qaeda, or what?
Thanks for using the outcome of an election to undermine the morale of our troops.

I hope you are proud of yourselves.

Huh?

If the morale of the troops has been affected by the outcome of the election, it isn't because of anything that has been said in this post or by anyone commenting.

Spokespersons from the DNC have been cut-and-run since 2004. Our troops know this, and I'm sure are worried about what the Democrats are going to do to them and their mission. Cutting off funding for the war on terror has been a favorite of Joe Biden and others.

The morale of the troops was lowered by the outcome of the election and those who are about to take over Congress.

May God bless America.
