According to Reuters and FoxNews, John Kerry's/Edward Kennedy's filibuster attempt is dead; cloture has been attained, and the vote for Judge Samuel Alito is coming very soon, probably tomorrow!.
For me, I'm glad an originalist/constructionalist is going to head to the Court. We don't have to worry (as much, I hope) about judges rendering opinions based upon their own opinions, foreign law, or what is popular, but rather opinions based on what the Constitution of the United States says.

The only thing wrong with the cartoon is that the "tape" used by the DNC boxer should actually be a roll of tissue paper that tears away with only two squares left sticking to each boot. (One says Kerry and the other says Kennedy.)
