So does that mean you do not shop at Walmart. Why does Bush raid all these business and fine them for having illegal workers? Now, he wants to turn over tank part production to that little country he saw no problem with running usa ports. He wants to set mileage regs now for the automakers. How are the GOP US Senators going to give all the taxpayers $100 rebate? Play by the rules? So system is nuts.
The above comment, boys and girls, is what we call "Word Salad." A bunch of words thrown together, but they have no intrinsic meaning whatsoever.
"So system"?
Another important lesson when dealing with someone who talks in Word Salad is to never try to understand or decipher what you think they are trying to say. There is no meaning.
Here I try again. Today it seems that hardly any businesses play by the rules. The ones left in the country hire illegal workers. So that they can play low wages,no benefits, and taxes. Or they are like Maytag demanded the government give demand tax breaks to move their plant to Mexico. Do you think the oil companies are playing by the rules? I would take a word salad to a poster or idea of stupid idea of conservative buying day for businesses who play by the rules. Heck you guys have had all the power to make the rules since you control all three branches of the federal government.
Your attempt to tie in Bush-bashing to the issue of illegal immigration is amusing.
The gist of the article was for those of us who do not appreciate illegals trying to hurt the economy on May 1 to go out and counter their idiocy by actually buying stuff on Monday. That's it.
I for one think it's a great idea, and I do plan to participate. Even if I voted for Kerry, I would want to participate to let illegal foreigners know I don't appreciate them sponging off MY tax money.
Plain and simple. No Bush-bash. No Kerry-bash, for that matter.
I hope the participation of illegal immigrants in this boycott of the United States is near 100 percent. If this doesn't make it clear to even the most bone-headed and pandering politicians that amnesty is a joke and that illegal immigration can and should be halted by any means, then we should give the traitors the boot. Elect politicians who WILL represent the electorate, and not just prostitute themselves for votes.
L.R., one of the items we can do is not the first on the list in the article you link to, but I think it should be at the top. http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=14370
Take notice of which businesses can still function. These are the ones playing by the rules and deserve long-term support. Come back again and again. Avoid those that mysteriously close or are obviously understaffed.
I think we should begin listing the companies that are closed or understaffed because of their dependence on illegal immigrants as a work force for the public record. The light of day (truth) should send the scoundrels directly out of business.

President Bush would also be an example of a " word salad".
Most of us can not make sense of what he says or does.
